The State Games of Mississippi are once again right around the corner and entry forms are available for the state's premier sporting event.
This year's games will begin June 15 with 27 events. The games are patterned after the Olympics for amateur athletes of all ages and abilities.
Last year, more than 4,000 athletes participated.
The Equestrian event has also expanded this year from Dressage only to include Western Pleasure and the Mule and Donkey Show.
The big weekends of competition are set for June 15-17 and June 21-24.
On the weekend of June 2-3, Sailing and Dressage will be held, along with three Youth Soccer district playoffs.
The State Games is celebrating its 10th year.
All competitors must be a resident of the state at least 30 days prior to the first day of competition in their respective sport.
Entry forms and information is available at the State Games office. You may also call 1-800-482-0205 or visit the games online at www. stategamesofms.org.
