Steven and Allison Anderson of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Erin Renee, to Richard Allen Byers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard C. Byers of Falls Church, Va.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Miss Anderson is the granddaughter of Ralph and Evelyn Walters of Meridian and Clinton Tracy of San Diego; and Dorothy Anderson and the late Harold Anderson.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and Meridian Community College. She will receive her bachelor of science degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University in May 2001.
While attending MCC, Miss Anderson was a member of the
Future Educators of America and an English tutor.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of George C. Marshall High School and received an associate of liberal arts degree from Meridian Community College.
Mr. Byers is employed by K&S Custom Warehousing.
A reception will be held in the Family Life Center following the ceremony.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
MIRIAM PLATO, JASON ETHRIDGE
Klaus-Dieter and Monika Plato of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, announce the engagement of their daughter, Miriam, to Jason Ethridge, son of David and Chris Ethridge of Bailey.
The wedding will be held Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Arkadelphia Baptist Church.
Miss Plato is the granddaughter of Elfriede Plato and Helmut and Sigrid Grundke of Germany.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Mountain Secondary High School. She is employed by Lentla Enterprises Ltd.
Mr. Ethridge is the grandson of Elouise Ethridge and Sue French of Meridian.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received an associate in arts degree from Meridian Community College.
He is employed by Meridian Public Schools.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
Formal invitations will be mailed to out-of-town guests only.
