Phil Campbell falls to Sheffield

PHIL CAMPBELL —The Sheffield Bulldogs scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and two in the second quarter in route to a 62-7 region victory over the Phil Campbell Bobcats on Friday night.

The Bulldogs racked up 414 yards on the ground and 70 through the air while limiting the Bobcats to 128 total yards in the contest.

Sheffield had scoring runs of 6, 51, 55, and 12 yards in the first half along with a 8 yard touchdown pass.  The Bulldogs led 35-0 at the half.

Phil Campbell’s lone touchdown came with 1:30 to go in the third quarter on a 5-yard run by quarterback Jacob Hamilton.  Craig Saints PAT cut Sheffield’s lead to 48-7 at the end of the third quarter.  Hamilton had runs of 12, 20, and 10 yards on the scoring drive.

The Bobcats (1-2) will travel to Red Bay next week.

The Bobcats will host Phillips the next week.
