Hazel Paden, 78, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Booneville, Miss. She was a native of Alabama and a homemaker. She was a member of Crossroads Methodist Church, Jumpertown, Miss.
Funeral services were Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Billy Nichols and Bro. Robbie Johnson officiating. Burial was in Berry Cemetery, Vina.
Survivors are three children, Jaunita Wildmon and husband, Gerald, of Booneville, Miss.; June Attaway and husband, Larry, of Red Bay, and Ray Paden and wife, Loretta, of Dennis, Miss.; one brother, H.T. Scott and wife, Brenda, of Red Bay; one sister, Shirley Childers and husband, H.C.), of Fulton, Miss.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Paden and her parents, Fonzy and Nettie Pounders Scott.
Pallbearers were Derrick Attaway, Jerry Blackburn, Caleb Waddle, Blake Webb, Mark Tessener and Joshua Henley. Honorary pallbearers were Kyler Blackburn, Chancellor Paden, K.C. Paden, Chase Paden, Josh Wilson, Brad Waddle, Brian Waddle and David Grimes.
