Holidays are special time of the year

Many dreamed of a white Christmas for Dec. 25. As we shared with family and friends for the holiday season, we witness the beauty of the creation of God.

As the pine trees and the ground were covered with snow, there were many smiles, laughter of joy and excitement on Christmas day.

It was such a pleasure to see how everyone worked together to help those who needed extra cheering up at Christmas. Some provided toys for children who would not have received gifts except trough your generous giving.

A local church provided gifts for adult women and men who may not have received any presents during the season. Also a warm delicious bowl of joy was served to all.

Others visited the nursing homes to spread songs of joy.

The holiday season is a wonderful time of the year and we expand ourselves with little limits.

As the holiday season continues through the New Year, there will be many that will continue to be on vacation from work and school. However, let us savor every moment we have with family, friends and co-workers.

This is the season to love unconditionally and life is a precious gift.

Many have carried on family traditions and many have created their own tradition of sharing love.

One of the most enjoyable traditions for me was to share with my neighbors. The gift of friendship is a small gift that can be given at any time.

As we look forward to the New Year we will have many opportunities to make new friends. Let us capitalize on every moment and opportunity to be a positive light that will shine in someone’s life. Many times it is about making a difference in a friend’s life.

As we begin a new chapter in the New Year in 2011, may we be excited about the new things that will surround us. Grasp a new hand, make a new friend but continue to network with the old friends of 2010.

May you have a New Year filled with happiness.
