33rd Mediator Barbecue' is Saturday

Everyone will find something they like at Saturday's 33rd Annual Church of the Mediator Barbecue.
Church members have been preparing for weeks for the event, which will be from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the 3825 35th Ave. church.
Last year, the church made more than $15,000 all of which was donated to local charities.
Plates of beef and pork barbecue, cooked over a wood fire, sell for $6 and include Texas toast, baked beans and coleslaw. Orders of five or more plates will be delivered.
Barbecue meat is also available in 3-pound bags for $18.50.
Saturday's barbecue also will feature live entertainment, children's activities and a freezer bake sale with everything from vegetable dishes and chili to a variety of soups and meat entrees.
Church member Gerri Holladay will make about 300 eclairs filled with custard and drizzled with chocolate. The eclairs will sell for $5 each.
Tables will be set up inside and outside for people who want to eat at the church. Coffee and soft drinks will also be available.
