Students experiment with rockets

Phil Campbell, East Franklin, Belgreen and Tharptown students worked together to “explore forces of flight” as they built and launched rockets made out of plastic straws.

They also tested the forces of gravity by stacking plastic cups upside down on top of each other with a piece of paper between them. The challenge was removing the piece of paper in such a way that the plastic cup on top landed perfectly over the bottom cup.
