Police looking for pharmacy burglars

Police are looking for two suspects who broke into a local pharmacy on Tuesday and stole over 13,000 pills and possibly tried to break into another pharmacy the same day.
According to Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett, they received an alarm call early Tuesday morning from Hometown Pharmacy on Gandy Street in Russellville.
When officers arrived on the scene, Hargett said they discovered someone had attempted to make entry into the pharmacy by throwing a large rock at the glass front door but were unable to break it before the alarm went off.
Hargett said approximately 45 minutes later they received another alarm call to The Drug Shop in the Big Star shopping center on Jackson Avenue.
Investigator Lt. Scotty Lowery said this time the suspects were successful at breaking into the pharmacy and in less than 45 seconds they were able to steal 13,500 hydrocodone pills.
Lowery said the pills have an estimated street value of $67,000.
Hargett said video surveillance shows the two suspects, who entered the pharmacy dressed in all black, smash through the front door of The Drug Shop. He said they also appeared to be driving a Ford model car, possibly a Fusion.
Anyone with information about these break-ins is asked to call the Russellville Police Department at 256-332-2230.
