Ima Hester Glasgow, 87, of Russellville died Monday, July 18, 2011.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Elrod, Bro. Johnathan Henderson, and Bro. Terry Lee Dempsey officiating.  Interment will be in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Todd Kirkpatrick, Steve Pickard, Jonathan Henderson, Kellan Hester, Collin Hester, Johnathan Hester, Terry Lee Dempsey, and Ross Glasgow, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kemper Talmadge Glasgow, Jr; parents, Walter Alexander Hester and Jessie Florence Hooper Hester; siblings, Foy Hester, Clovis Hester, Florence Holcomb, Ola Black, Odell Hester, Morris Hester;

She is survived by her children, Ann Glasgow, of Russellville, Sue Kirkpatrick and husband, Terrell, Rosa Ward and husband, Gary, both of Winfield, Ala., Don Glasgow and wife, Debbie, of Friendswood, Texas; siblings, Eva Kirkley, Marie Bragwell; grandchildren, Cheri Atkins and husband, Mark, Steve Pickard, Misty Henderson and husband, Jonathan, Todd Kirkpatrick and wife, Kristy, Angela Bell and husband, Seth, Evan Glasgow, Melissa Glasgow; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Belgreen Methodist Church AEA retired teachers, and a graduate of Belgreen High School.

In Lieu of Flowers make donations to the Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or church of choice.

Special thanks to all sitters who faithfully attended mother , the Fayette  Nursing Home and Kemp Meadows Assisted living in Winfield, Ala.
