Wilodean “Tootsie” Jones, 80, of Russellville, Ala. passed away Friday May 27, 2011 at her residence.

Funeral services were held Sunday May 29, 2011 at Liberty Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Jones and Bro. Bo Weeks officiating. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery. Akins Funeral Home assisted the family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Vernon “Flunk” Jones; parents, William and Gertrude Champion; siblings, Gertha Yocom, Geneva Harris, Arvil Champion, and Lorene Harris.

She leaves to cherish her memory, children, Gail Bell and husband, Rodger, Wendall Jones and wife, Shelia, Barry Jones; brother, William Champion; grandchildren, Rodney Bell, Jeff Bell, A.J. Jones, Ashley Jones, Summer Lovett; great-grandchildren, Hayden Bell, Justin Bell and wife, Tiffany, Raegan Thacston, Abigail Bell; great-great granddaughter, Kaylee Bell; a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church.

The family extends their thanks and appreciation to Bo Weeks and Jean Stone; Hospice of North Alabama, Northwest Home Health; and friends and neighbors for their prayers and support.
