Johnnie Morgan Chism, 97, of Red Bay, died Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Glenwood Rehabilitation and Convalescent Center, Florence, Ala.  She was a native of Itawamba County, Miss.  She was a factory worker in the garment industry and a member of First United Methodist Church, Red Bay, Ala.

Funeral services were held Friday, May 20, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Ala. with Bro. Virgil Chism and Bro. Marvis Bostick officiating. Burial was in Providence Cemetery, in Tremont, Miss.  Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Ala. assisted the family.

She is survived by four children, Patsy Bates, of Florence, Ala., Dottie Lominick and husband, Jim, of Huntsville, Ala., Hollis Chism and wife, Peggy, of Red Bay, Ala. and Mike Chism and wife, Linda, of Belmont, Miss.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bratton Chism; son-in-law, Reed Bates; four sisters; and five brothers.

Pallbearers were Billy Chism, Brent Chism, Cody Chism, Milburn Lominick, Anthony Blackburn and Richard McKinney.
