Mrs. Rebecca Sue Thomas, 67, of Russellville went to join her Savior, on Friday, April 15, 2011 after an extended illness. 

Funeral services were held Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Tharptown Friendship Holiness Church with Bro. William Mears and Bro. Franky Harvell officiating.  Burial was at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Thomas, Sr.; parents, M.C. Campbell, Sr.; Hazel Gratehouse; brothers, Clarence and Joseph Fitzgerald.

She is survived by daughters, Teresa Cassel and husband, Dennis; Gena Thomas; son, Charles Chuck Thomas; grandchildren, Charles Cassel and wife, Mandi, Denise Willingham and husband, Jimmy, Hannah Simmons and husband, Adam; Cody Simmons and wife, Megan; great-grandchildren, Brooke Knox, Katie, Joe James and baby Brooklyn Simmons; sisters, Virginia Jackson and husband, Robert, Juanita Prince, Barbara Gamble, Ann Doss and husband, Randall, Marvetta Owens, Bertha Boydston and husband, Rueben; brothers, M.C. Campbell, Jr., Robert Campbell; her sister in God and wonderful friend, Minnie Elliott; and several nieces and nephews. 

The pallbearers were Charles Cassel, Cody Simmons, Johnny Lee, Randall Doss, Jr., Mitchell Campbell and Adam Hogan.

A very special thanks to Hospice of North Alabama for all of the love and compassion that all of you have shown during the last days of her life.
