Russellville man charged with stealing metal
Authorities apprehended a Russellville man Monday night who is accused of stealing over a thousand dollars worth of metal materials from a local residence.
Joshua Michael Haney, 20, 19185 U.S. 43, Russellville, was arrested and charged with second-degree theft of property and possession of burglar’s tools.
According to Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver, the victim notified authorities on Monday morning of a possible theft of metal materials from the area near his barn.
During the investigation of the theft, officers were able to locate a truck belonging to Haney that was loaded down with about $1,600 worth of galvanized metal.
Officers were able to take Haney into custody about 9:30 p.m. Monday.
Haney is in custody at the Franklin County Jail on bail of $7,500.
