Author Leon Quillen, 84, passed away on Monday, March 14, 2011 at Russellville Hospital.

The funeral service will be a graveside service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Knights of Pythias Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Doctor Leroy Tidwell. Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Miley and Ruth Quillen; and a number of brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Ora Gargis Quillen; son, Bobby Joe Jones and wife, Kathy; daughter, Mary Ann Williams and husband, Jack; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Earl Quillen, Charles Quillen, Grace Price; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and doctors of Russellville ICU for the love and care shown in the time of illness.
