Johnny Ray Lindsey, “Be Good”, 58, of Vina, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 28, 1952 in Alabama to John and Hazel Massey Lindsey, who preceded him in death. He was a machine operator retired from NTN Bower of Hamilton, Ala. and was currently employed as a logger with Blue Harbor of Hamilton, Ala.
Funeral services were Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay, Ala. with Bro. Arthur Hardin officiating. Burial was in Sparks Chapel Cemetery in Vina, Ala.
He is survived by two daughters, Carrie Lindsey, of Red Bay and Leah Lindsey Wooten and husband, Cody, of Vina; and one sister, Doris Henson and husband, Buddy, of Tampa, Fla.
Pallbearers were Wade Barksdale, Jasper Peterson, Lewis Huguley, Harold Kuykendall, Jimmy Kuykendall and Travis Higgins. Honorary pallbearers were Derek Harbor, Danny Inman, Roger Holland, Tony Barksdale, Dennis Byrd, Corey Tucker, Richard Kuykendall, Bill Turbyfill, Bill Lindsey and Norris Lewey.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, collecting arrowheads, squirrel hunting and water sports. He loved his dogs and his horses. He was a member of Old Burleson Baptist Church.
