City welcomes opening of Bojangles’
As the sign outside of Russellville’s newest restaurant says, “It’s Almost Bo Time.”
The Russellville Bojangles’ on U.S. 43 will have its grand opening on Tuesday, March 8, beginning at 5:30 a.m. and owner Justin Haddock has several activities planned to promote the big day.
To promote their famous sweet tea before the restaurant officially opens, customers can come by the Bojangles’ drive-thru this Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. to receive a free 32-ounce sweet tea.
Monday at 10:45 a.m., there will be a ribbon cutting with the Franklin County Chamber of commerce and Haddock will also be presenting a $500 check to the Russellville Parks and Recreation Department.
As part of the grand opening on Tuesday, the first 100 customers will receive a $25 gift card to be used on a future purchase.
“I’m excited about opening our restaurant here in Russellville and I think we will be well-received by the people here,” Haddock said. “There seems to be a lot of people who are familiar with Bojangles’ from eating at our restaurant in Muscle Shoals and Florence, but I think the ones who haven’t eaten here before are looking forward to trying something new.”
Haddock said while Bojangles’ may be classified as a fast food chain, he feels there are several things the restaurant does that make it a better dining experience.
“We have a dining room host or hostess who clears tables and refills drinks,” Haddock said. “We also try to create a nicer atmosphere for our guests to enjoy.”
Bojangles’, which has provided the area with 60 new jobs, also offers a 10 percent discount on Sundays to anyone who brings in a church bulletin from that day, and they will serve their breakfast menu all day long.
“We think the breakfast menu will go over well here,” Haddock said. “Our biscuits are made fresh every 20 minutes all day, and we think the people of Russellville will appreciate that.”
