Students, teachers honor school board members
Each school in the Russellville City School system presented Russellville City School Board members with different items in honor of School Board Appreciation month during Thursday’s board meeting.
West Elementary School Principal Dr. Chris James presented each member of the board and Superintendent Don Cox with letters written by second graders at the school illustrating thanks for their hard work.
WES Assistant Principal Deanna Hollimon also let the board members know that books were being donated to the library in each of their names.
Russellville Elementary School Principal Kristie Ezzell presented board members with gift bags.
Russellville Middle School Principal Frankie Hammock let student council president, Chloe Brownell, present each member with certificates of appreciation.
Russellville High School President Dr. Tim Guinn let student council representatives Mackenzie Messer and Lydia Wade present each member and Cox with gift bags.
Cox also expressed his gratitude to each member for their hard work and dedication to the students of Russellville Schools.
