Wildcats cruise past Waterloo

WATERLOO — Tharptown jumped out to an early lead and never looked back as the Wildcats knocked off Waterloo 51-14.
Kelby Hallmark opened the scoring with a 45-yard touchdown run and Nathan Gray scored on a 2-yard run to give Tharptown a 14-0 advantage.
Waterloo added a touchdown, but Timothy Bryant scored on a 36-yard reception to give the Wildcats a 20-6 lead after the first quarter.
Tharptown (2-7, 2-5) added to its lead with a 44-yard touchdown reception by Jacob Parker, a 32-yard touchdown reception by Bryant and a 49-yard reception by Brandon Cothrum.
Tharptown also scored on a 20-yard run.
