UNION Services for George N. Wood Jr. will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Lawrence Baptist Church with the Revs. Chris Kelly and Paul DeMoney officiating. Burial will be in Hazlehurst Cemetery. Milling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wood, 81, of Newton, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Newton Regional Hospital.
Survivors include his daughters, Rachel Kelly and her husband, David, of Lawrence, Debra Wood of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Wendy Nevenschwander and her husband, Jimmy, of Spring, Texas and JoAnn Kinser of Canyon Lake, Texas; sons, Mike T. Wood of Bolton and James K. Wood of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, George N. Wood III and Hugh M. Wood and a daughter, Autumn Wood Maggart.
Visitation will be today from 7 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial services for Eula Jean Shelby will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Salem Baptist Church in Toomsuba. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Shelby, 58, of Toomsuba, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Lee Shelby of Toomsuba; children, Lynese Goodman and her husband, Robert, of the Snell Community, Joe Lee Shelby Jr. and his wife, Marcia, and Jason Shelby, all of Toomsuba; four grandchildren, Shelby Nance, Grant Goodman, Christian Shelby and Daniel Shelby; sisters, Iva Odom of Bailey and Gary Ann Joiner of Daleville; and several nieces and nephews.

PHILADELPHIA Services for Florrie Mae Palmer will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Lynville United Methodist Church in the Lynville Community of Kemper County, with the Rev. Steve Lampkin officiating. Burial will be in Lynville Cemetery. McClain-Hays Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Palmer, 86, of Ridgeland, died Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was a member of Lynville United Methodist Church. She was a longtime resident of the Lynville Community and a native of Kemper County. She had been a resident of The Orchard in Ridgeland for the past year. She was a former school teacher and taught in the Pachuta and Lynville schools.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Palmer of Ridgeland, Deborah Webb and her husband, Jerold, of Raymond, and Margaret Peoples and her husband, Danny, of Birmingham, Ala.; a son, Robert Palmer and his wife, Carol, of Collierville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Sherry Brinson, Brantley Palmer, Kelly Palmer and Jason Webb; great-grandchildren, Jamie Winright, Victoria Brinson and Samantha Smith; and a great-great-grandchild, Jason Anthony Smith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Palmer in 1991.
Memorials may be made to Lynville United Methodist Church, 120 Kellis Store Road, Preston, MS 39354.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and 30 minutes prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Mrs. Harris, 90, of Union, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Hometown Hospice in Union. She enjoyed entertaining guests in her home as well as farming and gardening.
Survivors include her daughters Helen Gibbs and Sandra Wedgeworth, both of Union; grandchildren, Brenda Wolverton of Madison, Kathy Smith of Greenville, S.C., Kim Smith of Collinsville and Joe Wedgeworth of Philadelphia; eight grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Dallas of Meridian and Dollie Shelby of Louisiana; brothers, Claude Talbert of Oklahoma and J.T. Talbert of Texas.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dr. Shelby Harris and her husband, Onon Harris.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
