A book signing planned for Sunday from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. at Bonita Lake Mall in the JCPenney court will give people an opportunity to have their books autographed by many of the artists.
Like the horses themselves, proceeds from the book will benefit Hope Village for Children.
As Lauderdale County native and Emmy Award-winning actress Sela Ward wrote on the book's inside cover, "This charming and creative public art project is the brainchild of Jamie Cater and Debbie Martin. The inspiration for the project was the historic Dentzel Carousel and similar public art projects of cities across the country. Around Town Carousels Abound' has been a tremendous success both artistically and for Hope Village for Children, financially.
Artists will be seated at tables in the JCPenney Court and will autograph books which have already been purchased or books that are purchased the day of the event.
Cater said a limited number of books will be available for purchase at the mall on Sunday. The book retails for $29.95.
