RPD arrests one for identity theft
The Russellville Police Department arrested a Russellville woman this week on charges of identity theft and the fraudulent use of credit/debit cards.
According to RPD investigators, an out-of-town visitor to Russellville from Indiana had called the police department to report identity theft and the unauthorized use of credit/debit cards. The RPD was able to obtain pictures and video records of a suspect, who was later identified, arrested and charged.
Police charged Mary Ann Hubbard, 50, of Russellville with identity theft, fraudulent use of credit/debit card and theft of property first degree.
According to investigators, through the identity theft Hubbard allegedly stole more than $2,500, result in the first-degree theft charge.
Hubbard is in custody in the Franklin County Jail.
