FCSO promotes seven
At its regular monthly work session March 20, the Franklin County Commission approved the promotion of seven personnel in the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Shannon Oliver recommended the promotions, which are as follows:
- Clint Holcombe to sergeant
- Jason Holcombe to lieutenant
- Ryan Zedrow to lieutenant
- Justin Trulove to captain
- Mark Latham to captain
- Adam Mitchel to sergeant
- Jonathan Copeland to sergeant
The promotions were effective as of March 12.
“We haven’t had any promotions since I’ve been here,” Oliver said. “We haven’t really moved anybody around as far as rank. Now we’ve strengthened our chain of command.”
Oliver added, “We have a good group of deputies. They’ve all done good jobs.”
The county also:
- Accepted the resignation of Tyler Norton in the FCSO.
- Authorized the sheriff to pursue the purchase of a control panel for the jail to replace a malfunctioning panel, following the declaration of an emergency situation due to the panel’s function in security.
- Approved ATRIP invoices.
- Approved and announced the mandatory wellness screening for county employees.
