Although Jackson Avenue will be blocked off beginning at noon Friday, the courthouse and annex will still be open for business.

In advance of the Watermelon Festival this weekend, the street in front of the courthouse and annex will be barricaded to allow festival vendors to set up their booths. However, the courthouse and courthouse annex will maintain regular business hours, allowing for the timely payment of bills and the carrying out of other courthouse services as usual.

Patrons will need to park elsewhere, perhaps a block down or a block over, to then reach the courthouse or annex on foot during regular business hours.
