Following a tip from a citizen, Red Bay police arrested the person allegedly responsible for changing price stickers at the Piggly Wiggly to purchase higher-priced meat at a lower cost.
Jesse Todd Camp Bailey, 26, of Highway 48 in Bear Creek, was charged with theft by deception, third degree last Monday.
Chief Janna Jackson thanked the tipster. “It’s good to see people step up and do the right thing in assisting law enforcement,” she said.
