The Vina Rescue Squad and Vina girls track and cross country program will sponsor the 2nd Annual Vina July Fest 5K Run and Fun Run.

The race will be held the morning of Vina’s July Fest, July 25 at 7 a.m.

“This was a great event last year, and we hope more people will come out this year to support our program and have fun at the same time,” said Vina track coach Paul Humphres.

The race will begin and end at Vina’s Franklin-Hester football field.

The registration cost for the 5K is $25 for those who register by July 10.  The fun run, which is a one-mile run, costs $15 to register. All early registrants will receive a t-shirt.

People can register early by mailing checks to: Vina Rescue Squad, 7990 Highway 23, Vina, AL, 35593. All runners should write “RACE” on checks.

For more information, contact Humphres at 256-324-8877.
