Steve Allen Scott, 56, passed away June 29, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Red Bay, to Z.L. and Mildred Scott. He was a mechanic for most of his life and was owner and operator of Steve Scott Automotive. He like to fish, cook at his shop, go drag racing and spend time with his friends. He attended Altar Baptist Church. He always looked forward to Vacation Bible School, so he could help with all the little kids and make sure they had plenty to eat and drink. He loved everyone and would give you the last thing he had if you needed it. He will be missed by everyone.

Services were held Wednesday, July 1 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay. Bro. J.C. Blackburn, Bro. Robert Wood and Jeff Stephens officiated. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Golden, Miss.

Survivors are four sisters, Anita Stephens and husband, Jeff, Nella Lawler, Reda Waddle and husband, Mike,  and Shirley Ozbirn and husband, Jack; two brothers, Ronald Scott and wife, Tunya and Terry Scott, and wife, Sherry; fourteen nephews; seven nieces; 28 great-nephews and great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pat Blackburn; brother-in-law, Dale Lawler and great nephew, Weston Fennel.

Pallbearers were Robert Collum, Harold Vinson, Jason Massey, Charlie Hicks, Travis Newell, Raburn Thomas, Gary Vinson, Richard White and Claudie Deaton. Honorary pallbearers were Billy Joe Payne, Byron Duncan, Hugh Scott, Steve Stanford, J.B. Gassaway, Joe Harrison, Charles Gann and Thomas Miller.
