Taking it to the hoop

This year’s Second Annual Jacklyn Nance Backetball Camp was held at the Chucky Mullins Park and Rec center in Russellville, June 8-10, for second through eighth grade boys and girls.
Numerous children of all ages came to learn and get better at the game of basketball, from fundamentals to ball handing, shooting, techniques, post and guard moves, defense and passing.
“I enjoyed the camp this year, just like last year,” said Nance, who ran the camp along with Siran Winston and others. “Basketball is my passion, and I love what I do: teaching kids and helping them learn and improve their game. I had a few repeats and I also had some new faces. The kids learned a lot, and they were all excited and having fun learning the basic fundamentals of basketball.”
