RHS-BOYS-TENNIS

The Russellville Varsity and Middle School tennis teams would like to thank their sponsors this year for the support they have given as well as the coaches involved with teaching and guiding the student-athletes.

RMS-BOYS-TENNIS

This year the middle school team is being coached by Kevin England and the athletes and parents are looking forward to seeing the new direction of the program. The RMS tennis team includes Kassandra Abarca, Samuel Bahena, Priscila Bahena, Yaneli Bahena, Daylin Barrios, Katie Burns, Joe Lopez, Lucy Medina, Kenner Perez, Ellyse Strickland, Yesenia Vargas, Bergie Villareal, Juliana Wallace, and Anna Woods.

RMS-Girls-Tennis

The RHS Girls tennis team has enjoyed a successful season in 2015, finishing 7-1 in area play. This year Kim Hood and Spencer Wooten coach them. This is their first year coaching the girls’ team. They will be playing in the Area Sectional Tournament on April 20. If they are successful they will advance to the state playoffs in Mobile, Ala. The RHS girls tennis team includes Grace Mitchell, Ashleigh Morgan, Maleia Gist, Addie Scruggs, Emma Claire Bragwell, and Lariza Garcia Delgado.

RHS-GIRLS-TENNIS

The RHS Boys tennis team has had another successful season in 2015. Jimmy Rea, who is completing his 14th season as the coach, leads the RHS boys’ team. They finished 8-1 this season in area play and will be playing in the Area Sectional Tournament on April 20. The team hopes to repeat their success and return to the state playoffs in Mobile again this year. The RHS boys’ tennis team includes Jesus Betancourt, Blake Bishop, Cody Boshell, Charlie Chard, Levi Hargett, Blake Hovater, Porter James, Caleb Mayfield, Jake Williams, Josh Williams, and Gabe Wallace.
