RHS and Cultura team up for the birds

The Birdhouse Project had been a conservation project idea for some time. Now, members of Mr. Donnie Nichols Russellville High School’s Agriculture class have teamed up with members of the Cultura Garden club to make it happen.
The project consisted of numerous birdhouses, all constructed by Nichol’s class, being put up around the Russellville City Schools campus and City Lake Park.
“This gives the students a chance to observe the birds for learning in their science classrooms and it also gives the birds a safe habitat,” said Garden Club member, Martha Sibley.
Project manager for the Birdhouse Project was club member, Patricia Cox. Members of the agriculture class that participated are Sam Evans, Levi Hargett, Drake Hipps, Christian King, Justin Rikard, Brett Suddith, Hayden Suddith, and Dillan Swinney.
