Phillip W. Ray, 70, died Saturday, March 7, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Itawamba County, Miss. and worked at Day-Brite Lighting for more than forty years. He served in the U.S. Army and attended Believers Baptist Church.

Services were Wednesday, March 11, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Harold Ozbirn and Bro. Tommy King officiating. Burial was in Altar Baptist Church Cemetery, Tremont, Miss.

Survivors are his wife of 45 years, Joann Ray, Tremont, Miss., and three sisters – Pat Parrish and husband, Lorenzo, Tremont, Miss., Kim Farrar and husband, Mark, Fulton, Miss. and Vickie Cook and husband, Ron, Tremont, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnes Conwill, stepfather, Orville Conwill and a brother, Russell Conwill.

Pallbearers were Tim Adair, James Leech, Randy Shotts, Deelane Earnest, Robert Patterson, James “Hugh” Ivy, Tim Parrish, Rusty Parrish, Phil Henson, Jimmy McKinney and Billy Joe Brown.

Visitation was Tuesday, March 10, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
