Franklin County is gearing up for the next big concert that’s coming to Russellville High School auditorium. His Glory Production is bringing a line-up of Christian artists March 14 for all to enjoy.
Brandon Heath, Nichole Nordeman, along with Love and the Outcome, are set to take the stage at RHS auditorium March 14. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. but doors will open at 6 p.m. Their stop in Russellville is one of many during their Table Tour.
His Glory prides itself in holding events year round to better inspire the community. Last fall over 1,200 tickets were sold when Big Daddy Weave came to town.
Trent Stephenson of His Glory Productions said that this month’s event is going to be more personal for concertgoers.
“We are only selling about 700 tickets for this event,” Stephenson said. “We had around 60 VIP tickets, but they are mostly already gone.”
Tickets are priced at $15 per person for general admission. VIP tickets are $25 and include a meet and greet with the artist as well as first choice on seating for the evening.
Heath is a Grammy nominated recording artist from Nashville. He has traveled doing grassroots ministry most of his adult life and has had two number one hits on gospel radio. His most recent album, “Blue Mountain,” is available on iTunes. His next album, “No Turning Back,” is set to release later this year.
Nordeman is a former church pianist from Dallas. Her voice and songwriting skills have been recognized with awards from the Gospel Music Association. In 2003, she was honored with Female Vocalist of the year, along with several other awards.
Stephenson is excited to bring another line-up of renowned Christian musician to the Franklin County area.
“This is a night about music, stories and community,” Stephenson said. “Everyone is welcome.”
His Glory is a group formed by numerous organizations from Franklin County. The group includes: Affordable Service Heating and Cooling, East Alabama Central Credit Union, Stephenson Electrical Service, Campbell Vision Center, and First Baptist Church of Russellville. His Glory puts on seasonal shows and had a large turnout with their last production in the fall.
His Glory will also be active in this year’s Watermelon Festival. The opening night of the festival will have musical acts paid for and provided by the group. More information will be available closer to the festival but Stephenson assures patrons a source of musical entertainment.
“We are excited to be in charge of the music at the opening night of the Watermelon Festival,” Stephenson said. “We are hoping to shine a positive light in the community.”
