Paul Edmund Cagle, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015 at the Florence Nursing and Rehab Center in Florence, Alabama at the age of 75.

He is survived by his wife, Maurine Cagle of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; daughter, Sherry Lynn Greenhill  and husband, Jeff of LaGrange, Kentucky; sons, Terry Wayne Cagle and wife, Kim of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Jonathan David Cagle and wife, Lori of Smyrna, Tennessee, Michael Lee Cagle and wife, Michelle of Killen, Alabama; foster son, Nigel Milo and wife, Jasmine of Linden, Guyana South America; seven grandchildren, Kodi Shirley and husband, Drew of Gordo, Alabama, Josh Cagle of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Kalie Cagle of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Skyler Cagle of Smyrna, Tennessee, Savannah Cagle of Smyrna, Tennessee, Madison Cagle of Killen, Alabama, Maci Cagle of Killen, Alabama; foster grandson, Zabdiy’el and wife, Zab Milo, Linden, Guyana South America; two great-grandsons, Whitt Shirley and Colt Shirley, both of Gordo, Alabama; brother, Joe Cagle, Leachville, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C. E. and Nancy Cagle; sisters, Leona Young and Opal Meadows; brothers, Cecil, Alfred, George and Claude Cagle.

He was a minister of the Church of Christ for 40 years having preached in: Hayti, Missouri; Reidsville, North Carolina; Gainesville, Arkansas; North Highlands Church of Christ in Russellville, Alabama and Centreville, Alabama.

He spent several years as a local and foreign missionary serving in Linden, Guyana South America; Bancock, Thailand; Bangladesh; Europe (London, Ukraine); Johannesburg, South Africa; Philippines; Nepal; Malaysia; Burma (Myamar); Borneo; Lincoln, Nebraska; Perry, Iowa.

He graduated from Sunset School of Preaching and earned a Bachelor of Arts from International Bible College (Heritage Christian University). He also earned a Master of Ministry from Freed Hardeman University and a Doctor of Missions from Theological University of America.  He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Humanities from Heritage Christian University.

Visitation will be Friday, January 23, 2015 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the North Highlands Church of Christ located at 2101 North Jackson Avenue in Russellville, Alabama.  Funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the church with Nigel Milo, Dale Andrews, Jake Henson and Gavin McGee officiating.  Burial will follow in Franklin Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Terry Cagle, David Cagle, Michael Cagle, Jeff Greenhill, Josh Cagle, Skyler Cagle, Drew Shirley, Nigel Milo.

Honorary bearers will be Clarence Gurganus, Walter Entrekin, Mickey Spillers, Tim Turner, Dan Thorn, Glen Grubbs.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Edmund Cagle’s memory to: Heritage Christian University (for Preacher training), P.O.
