Margie Jean Overby Patterson, 78, died Friday, Aug.15, 2014 at the Red Bay Hospital.  She was born in Cleveland, Tenn. to Richard and Thelma Overby.  She was a cook at Jack’s in RedBay.

Services were Monday, Aug. 18, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay.  Burial was in Ridge Cemetery.

Survivors include ten children, Dale Taylor, Norma Jean Taylor, Raymond Junior Humphries, Luther Humphries, Kathy McKee, John B. Patterson, Crystal Watkins, E. Pete Patterson, Donald R. Patterson and Mark A. Patterson; three step-children-Lee Patterson, Dorothy Locklear and Peggy Mason; Several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Angel Humphries; her parents; a sister, Francis Overby; and a brother, Donnie Overby.

Pallbearers were her children.

Visitation was Monday, Aug. 18, at Deaton Funeral Home, RedBay.
