Drug unit seizes 38 lbs. of marijuana

Law enforcement officials arrested a local man last Monday who was allegedly involved in a marijuana growing operation.

Doyle J. Fuller, 62, Lost Creek Road, Russellville, was arrested for trafficking marijuana, Franklin County Sheriff Shannon Oliver said.

Oliver said the arrest closed a three-month investigation by agents with the Franklin County Drug Enforcement Unit.

Oliver said agents had received information that there was a possible marijuana grow on Lost Creek Road in Russellville.

During the investigation, agents obtained enough information for a search warrant, which they executed on Aug. 4.

Oliver said during the search, agents located a hydroponic growing system and seized 38 pounds of marijuana found at the scene.

Fuller was released from the Franklin County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
