RHS students earn MOS certification
The Russellville High School Business Department began offering industry recognized Microsoft Office credentials to their students last year.
Through a pilot program with the Alabama State Department of Education, RHS is able to be a part of the Certiport Microsoft Specialist Certification program. Through this program RHS was awarded a site license to administer exams for students to earn Microsoft Office 2010 certification.
Several students were allowed the opportunity to benefit from this program, which allows students to be able to put a tangible, real-world skill on their resume and college applications.
Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification is the leading IT certification in the world. More than 1 million MOS exams are taken every year in over 140 countries.
This certification demonstrates that students have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to productively use Microsoft Office.
MOS promotes success in the classroom for students (and instructors), builds individual distinction, and prepares students for an increasingly competitive workforce.
RHS students gained 47 certifications this year.
Business Education teachers are AnnaKay Holland, Deedra Moore, and Susie Malone.
