Wayne Roger May, 67, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at his residence in Franklin County after an extended battle with cancer.

He was born on April 13, 1947, in Franklin County and was a retired drywall finisher.

Visitation was Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville.

The funeral service followed with Loyd Griffus officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Yocom May; brother, Eugene May and wife, Edna; sister-in-law, Nellie Riley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Moley and Will B. May; brother, James Carpenter; sister, Margree Shelnutt; infant brother, Vergil May; brother-in-law, Dewayne Yocum; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Hershell and Gertha Yocum; and nephew, Tim Yocum.
