Cheryl Kaye Compton, 57, died Saturday, July 5, 2014 at her home.

She was born January 10, 1957, in Florida and was a homemaker.

She enjoyed sharing her faith, helping others and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of Grace Community Church in Golden, Miss.

Services will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Tony Darracott and Bro. Steve Lindsay officiating.

Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery.

Survivors are two sons, Jason Rogers and wife, Felicia, and Phillip Rogers and wife, Tonya, all of Belmont, Miss.; two daughters, Alysa Mitchell and husband, Roger, Muscle Shoals, and Kristen Aguiere and husband, Alfredo, of Texas; siblings and spouses, Billy Rackard and wife, Lori, Hackleburg, Michael Rackard, Florence, David Rackard of Texas, Butch Rackard and wife, Charlotte, Red Bay, Kathy Rackard and husband, Kenny, Hackleburg, Joan Miller and husband, Rayburn, Vina, Leona Tennison and husband, Troy, Brandon, Miss., Terry Rackard and wife, Nell, Lucedale, Miss.; and 12 beautiful grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lorene Rackard; and two sisters, Jean Poores and Ann Pirkle.

Pallbearers will be Chris Basham, Adam Hester, Donnie Wood, David Hester, Mark Williams and David Corum.

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay.
