Cochran defeats Hester
The Democratic nomination for the Franklin County School Board in District 3 went to Pat Cochran Tuesday night.
According to the uncertified numbers, Cochran beat out incumbent school board member Randy Hester by a vote of 415 to 244.
Cochran said he was pleased to win the Republican primary and was looking forward to a brief rest before starting his campaign back up for the fall.
“This is all about the kids,” Cochran said. “I want them to have the very best they can possibly have and I will always have their best interests in mind.”
