Red Bay wins jamboree game

Red Bay Tiger fans got a good look at their fall football line up at the spring jamboree game against Tishomingo County last Friday night.

After Tish. County went up 20-15 in the fourth, the Tigers came back to win 21-20 in the final minutes of the game.

It took Red Bay just three plays in the opening minutes to go up 7-0 over the Braves.

Red Bay turned the ball over on downs near the six-minute mark giving the Braves the opportunity to score with 1:28 remaining in the first quarter.

After they missed the point after kick, Red Bay held on to a 7-6 lead going into the second.

With 40 seconds remaining in the first half, Red Bay connected with Reed Holt for a Tiger TD.

Tyler Reach added the two-point conversion to stretch Red Bay’s lead by a score of 15-6.

The Braves cut Red Bay’s lead to only three points, 15-12, near the top of the fourth quarter on a Moss keeper play.

An interception by the Braves set Tishomingo County up for their second TD in less than a minute.

A keeper play by the Braves’ quarterback, Harrison Moss, and a two-point conversion play put the Braves up for the first time 20-15.

With 2:25 remaining in the game, Red Bay’s defense held back the Braves on third and short, forcing them to punt.

Tishomingo County was called for interference giving Red Bay possession on first and 10 on the 25-yard line of the Braves.

Tiger quarterback Troy Borden added the final 25 yards on a keeper play up the middle for Red Bay’s final score.

Red Bay will play a fall jamboree game in August before they open their regular season with Colbert Heights on August 22.
