Bernice Hester Richardson, 89, Belgreen, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Burns Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Richardson was a longtime member of Belgreen United Methodist Church. She was a loving, caring homemaker for her family and substitute taught at Belgreen School.

The visitation was Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Spry Memorial Chapel, with the funeral following in the chapel. Officiating was Bro. Frank Billingham. Burial was at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 67 years, William Turner “W.T.” Richardson; daughter, Debbie Boyd and husband, Roger; son, Turner Richardson, Jr.; grandchildren, Cade Boyd, Drew Boyd and wife, Candace, Will Richardson and wife, Breanna, Jared Richardson and wife, Britney; great-grandchildren, Wylie and Ashton Boyd, Kylee Richardson, Austin, Ayden, and Maci Boyd; siblings, R.C. Hester, Joyce Richardson, Peggy Bendall; sisters-in-law, Ruby Nix Hester, Doris Landers; and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by daughter, Melba Richardson Boyd; her parents, Clayton and Birdie (James) Hester; brothers, James R. Hester, Hollis Hester, Delmar Ray Hester; and sister, Olene James.

The pallbearers were Roger Boyd, Cade Boyd, Drew Boyd, Will Richardson, Jared Richardson, and Milton Boyd.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Burns Rehabilitation Center, North Alabama Hospice, Dr. Almirol, and the caregivers for the love and care shown towards our family.
