Woman indicted for stealing from employer
A Russellville woman accused of stealing money from her former place of employment was indicted last month, officials said.
Margarett Diane Forrester, 39, 1316 N. Jackson Ave., Russellville, was indicted for second-degree theft of property and third-degree burglary, Franklin County District Attorney Joey Rushing said.
According to Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett, Forrester is accused of stealing money from Pilgrim’s Place, a Russellville restaurant, where she had been employed.
Hargett said the theft reportedly occurred during the early morning hours of June 19.
As the investigation progressed, Hargett said Forrester was developed as a suspect.
Investigators said additional information became available about the theft that eventually led to Forrester’s arrest.
