Lady Bulldogs snag 15th season win

The Lady Bulldogs improved to 15-8 overall and finished 6-2 in area play Monday night with a big win over the Lady Panthers of Hackleburg.

In the first quarter, eighth grader Jasmine Martin scored all 15 points for Belgreen as they took a 15-2 lead. Martin hit another three early in the second quarter to finished her scoring at 18 for the contest. She turned the scoring over to tenth grader Allyson Bragwell, who scored six of her 17 points in the second quarter.

The Lady Bulldogs took a commanding 27-9 lead in at the half.

In the third quarter, Allyson’s  sister, Laken Bragwell, scored six of her 11 points and Lexie Bragwell scored five of her seven points as Belgreen took a 21 point lead after three quarters.

Alex Miller chipped in two points to finished up the scoring for Belgreen in the 55-38 win over Hackleburg.

Senior Hanna Taylor led the Lady Bulldogs in rebounds with 11 and Allyson Bragwell finished with 10. Eighth grader Abby Hester had 10 assists and five steals for Belgreen in the contest.
