The inside/outside double threat of the Phil Campbell Bobcats was just too much for the Red Bay Tigers to overcome Friday night at the Bobcats outlasted the Tigers 66-59.

Freshman point guard, Bailey Motes, and senior post player, Colton Vickery, combined for 44 of the Bobcats 66 points. The duo scored 22 points each.

Red Bay jumped out to a 14-11 first quarter lead. The Bobcats responded with a strong second quarter outscoring the Tigers 17-12 to take a 28-26 lead into halftime.

Phil Campbell opened the second half strong and led Red Bay by as many as 12 points in the third quarter. The Tigers battled back to cut the lead to 47-44 at the end of the third quarter.

It was a tight game throughout the fourth quarter with Red Bay closing the gap to one point with just over a minute to play in the game. Bailey Motes drained a three from the top of the key with 1:02 left in the game to put enough distance between the two teams for the Bobcats to hang on for the win.

Others scoring for Phil Campbell were Skylar Tackett (9), Tommy Reed (6), Nathan Duncan (4), and Noah Williams (3).

Barry Reach led Red Bay with 16 points. He was followed by Kyle Fuller with 11 points. Others scoring for the Tigers were Fred Netherly (9), Nick Thorn (9), Isaiah Jackson (9), Jesus Kelley (4) and Austin Milam (1).
