Robert Boyd “Robbie” Pearson Jr., 47, died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Red Bay Hospital.

He was born May 27, 1965, in Florida and had been an employee of Gates Rubber Co. for 13 years. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.

Services were Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, with Bro. Larry Hill and Jerrel Gillentine officiating. Burial was in Red Bay City Cemetery.

Survivors are his wife, Lacey Ivy Pearson, Red Bay; one son, Calum Pearson, Red Bay; three brothers, Scott Pearson and wife, Leigh, of Madison, Chris Pearson and wife, Mary Lynn, and Charles Gonzales and wife, Mary, all of Tampa, Fla.; one sister, Valerie Fowler and husband, Scott, Nevada City, Calif.; his parents, Robert Pearson, Red Bay, and June Pearson, Lakeland, Fla.; his mother-in-law, Lenora Frost, Red Bay; his father-in-law, Larry Ivy and wife, Jeanie, Red Bay; sister-in-law, Natasha Ivy and husband, Brian, Belmont, Miss., and brother-in-law, Mark Ivy and wife, Heather, Las Vegas, Nev.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emily Pearson; his wife, Tara Howard Pearson, and his grandparents, Gladys and Boyd Pearson and Emilio and Grace Calub.

Pallbearers were Larry Ivy, Jack Ivy, Chris Pearson, Scott Pearson, Steve Howard, Johnny Roberts and Ronnie Calub.
