Gladys Pinkard Hightower, 90, of Addison, passed away Friday, March 29, 2013, at Summerford Nursing Home.

Mrs. Hightower was a native of Marion County but had lived in the Addison area for the last 41 years. She was a member of Piney Grove First Congregational Methodist Church.

Funeral services were Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Piney Grove First Congregational Methodist Church, Addison, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.  Officiating was Jeff Sherrell, Glen Wood and Rick Moody.

Survivors include husband, Leon Hightower, Addison; son, Randall Hightower and wife, Freda, Addison; sister, Teeny Garrett, of Beatrice; grandchild, Cyndal Hightower; great-grandchild, Levi Scott; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Bertha Pinkard; first husband, Wayland George; sister, Peggy Miles; brothers, R.C. Pinkard, Hollis Pinkard, and Rufus Pinkard.
