Nellie Ruth Rhodes, 84, died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center after a short illness.

A Tishomingo County native, she was born May 8, 1928, to Lee and Luzina Gray Rhodes. She was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing. She enjoyed going to church and listening to gospel music. She was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church.

Services were Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Miss., with Bro. Ralph Culp and Bro. Shawn Davis officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery, Tishomingo, Miss.

Survivors are one brother, Hollis Rhodes, Russellville; three sisters-in-law, Charlene Rhodes, Belmont, Miss., Sally Rhodes, Burbank, Ill., and Eula Rhodes, Waukegan, Ill.; two nieces and five nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Otha, Clifton, Bobby Joe and Jimmy Rhodes.

Pallbearers were Gary Pounders, Kane Harris, Clyde Moore, Troyce Taylor, Harmon Davis and Harmon Ginn.
