Thanks for voting “No” in wet/dry election

I want to personally thank each person who voted “No,” and each person who worked in trying to defeat legalized alcohol sales in the city of Russellville.

It was a close vote, but the “Yes” votes won, and we as Christians and churches must continue to “fight the good fight of the faith.” Jesus wept over the city of Jerusalem and Moses wept over the children of Israel because of their disobedience, but they continued to minister and preach God’s message.

It is our job as believers and as churches to minister to our city and reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We need the blessings of God on our city in order to survive. Alcohol is not the answer to our dilemma, but Jesus is the answer.

It is my prayer that God will send a true revival to our city in the coming days, and that revival begins in the people of God according to 2 Chronicles 7:14-15. I will continue to stand strong and preach God’s Word, and we as believers in Jesus Christ will continue to love and reach out to the people of Russellville and the surrounding area.

Remember Romans 8:35-37, “We are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us.”
