First Metro Bank announces promotions for key associates

The Board of Directors of First Metro Bank are proud to announce the following promotions:

Mike Vaughn

• Mike Vaughn has been promoted to Senior Vice President. As a 32 year veteran of the financial industry, Mike has served First Metro Bank for over fifteen years as Branch Manager of First Metro Bank’s Russellville location since its opening in July 1995.  

Under his leadership, the Russellville branch has been actively involved in the community it services.   A lifelong resident of Franklin County, Mike graduated from Russellville High School, Northwest Shoals Community College and the University of North Alabama.

He is also a graduate of the Alabama School of Banking and the National Consumer Credit School. 

Mike currently serves as treasurer of the Russellville Kiwanis Club and is an active board member of the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce.  Mike has served on numerous economic and strategic planning committees for Franklin County and has been a youth league coach for fourteen years.

With this promotion, First Metro Bank is proud to recognize Mike for his years of outstanding dedication and service to the bank.

Kyle DeFoor

• Kyle DeFoor has been promoted to Assistant Vice President. For more than ten years Kyle has served First Metro Bank in various capacities, including special assets manager and loan officer.

For the past three years, Kyle has been the Branch Manager of the Hough Road location in Florence.

Kyle is graduate of Russellville High School and Northwest Shoals Community College.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of North Alabama where he also completed a Masters in Business Administration in 2006.

Kyle is also a graduate of the Alabama School of Banking and Leadership Shoals Class of 2007.  He currently serves as a NACOLG board member and is attending the Birmingham School of Law.  First Metro Bank commends Kyle on his years of service and dedication with this promotion.
