Wildcats head to Meek
THARPTOWN — The Tharptown football team opens its 2010 season Thursday night at Meek.
Wildcat coach Bill Smith said he does not know much about Tigers, as he has not seen any film of them.
He said he noticed a few positives in Tharptown’s fall jamboree loss to Brilliant last week, mainly the big-play capability of his squad.
“We had two or three long runs,” Smith said. “We threw the ball well. We didn’t have any interceptions.”
Smith said the biggest question for the Wildcats is the play of the defensive line. He said the unit looked good at times, but they had several missed assignments.
